Version 0.19.9.3 of demo updated!


Hello Willowguards!

Enjoy this hefty update to the Willow Guard demo, which includes:

  • New look for the loot screen
  • The General codex section now has sketches.
  • Fixed jerking into place in intro and hopefully made the textbox more readable.
  • Fixed tooltips from the journal getting stuck if they were open when the journal was closed using a hotkey.
  • No more duplicate rooms spawned during dungeon generation - all rooms are now unique.
  • Minor fixes to lumberyard and Sunspring fields levels
  • Made clicking through dialog smoother and removed unnecessary UI sounds.
  • Made the "no action surge"-action surge nicer (now only costs 1 stamina)
  • Made the card draw screen more user friendly by increasing the size of text elements and making them animate + changed some visuals to be more consistent with other dungeon UI.
  • Fixed a very rare fatal bug caused by wearing a certain speed-debuffing armor and using the Rage action surge.
  • Added all-new map icons for all the unlockable locations, that should make them more visible
  • DODGE ROLL: Ghweros now has a proper animation for his dodge move.
  • Less-green-grass: the grass has been made darker and less glaringly green
  • A new death screen!
  • Some story additions to make it easier to unlock other locations than the lumberyard on day 1 (hint, hint)
  • Dialogue options now fade in and have a brief period when they can't be clicked, hopefully minimizing accidental selection
  • Some visual bug fixes in the journal
  • Squashed a few bugs relating to unresponsive enemy AI
  • Some new backgrounds replete with pretty parallaxing!
  • A new fancy sheen to the blacksmith/card upgrade menus
  • Cooldown timers now pause properly when the game is paused
  • A new save system!
  • Vermin damage nerfed (they hit as hard as Snapjaws before, oops)
  • Throwing bombs no longer block player movement/actions while in the air.
  • You can now use right joystick/arrow keys to move camera during investigation scenes
  • Enemy line attacks (e.g. Stinkbrute special attack) no longer do damage through obstacles
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes rarely not all rooms in a dungeon generated correctly.
  • Sticky tooltips in blacksmith and card upgrade screens fixed
  • New parallax backgrounds and a wholly new Roadhouse inside!
  • Action Surge: Rage Heavy attack now works as intended.
  • Fixed some blurry textures in intro and added music
  • Added some new decorations and animations to certain dungeon maps.
  • Gather Arusa Nuts-map now slightly easier
  • Card scrapping! There is now a new button in the Craft Cards menu that lets you scrap crafted cards back into their constituent parts (card bases + materials). Unfortunately all your Shimmer and Focus are lost, but so it goes!
  • Proper animated health bars
  • New, better evening lighting in the story mode
  • Some nerfs to a favorite worm-mouthed friend
  • A new animation for heavy attacks!
  • Various bug fixes here and there.
